InnTherapy - Willow Bunch
College - Vate Ed Campus
The
word 'therapy' derives from Greek for the
attempted remediation of a health related problem.
Therapy follows diagnosis, the process of identifying a
health related condition, ailment or disease by its
signs, symptoms, and from the results of various
diagnostic procedures. Modern medical procedures and
many terms developed out of the temples of health originally
instigated in Greece about 2300 years ago. (In the
temples of health people needing health treatments were
invited to dream. The dreams were interpreted and, from suggestions dreams had provided,
a remedy applied.)
Why 'inn'? Our first therapeutic
facility (not linked to the
medical or pharmaceutical industries started the
path to its development in 2008) aims to have inn-like
accommodations for people in therapy, and for related training. Therapy is usually provided for people
whose health hasn't diminished to a more intensive level
of care and can normally be remediated without extreme,
or emergency measures being taken. The day therapy most
commonly used and/or prescribed by health professionals is usually enough for
the likelihood of remediation.
We will tackle more
difficult cases, starting with neuroscientists who know
the benefit of stimulating the mind to become its own
healer, and in many cases its own medicine chest. What
we are doing is replicating a healing method used 2000
years ago around the Galilee, 2300 years ago around the
Greek Aegean, and 2650 years ago
in Ireland at the world's first hospital, and by
a small number of people who rediscovered the lost
methods since.
